‘Tis the Damn Season

I think we can all agree that a lot of 2020 has been a big cluster F of a dumpster fire…and as crazy as it has been I have to say, I have found wonderful little moments of joy throughout the year. Because of COVID, because of Law School, because I have had three little ones in virtual school since March…for all those reasons and more, photography has taken a tiny backseat to life for most of the year… But nothing was going to get in my way of the “SEASON” as I like to call it. My busiest time is from October to January…and this year, even with the madness, I was incredibly busy and so grateful for every single one of the families who came out and did a shoot.

I capped off my season with a family I have been shooting for years and whom I absolutely adore. The energy between them is incredible and sometimes when they are all chatting it up with me I get a sneak peek into what it must be like at a dinner party with this crew…its hilarious…its fun and its full of laughter and joy…and it makes me so happy that I ended my season with all of that with them.

We shot at Historic Yates Mill in Raleigh…I have never had a bad shoot at this location and I think I’m going to have to make it a new spot for minis next year.

For now…I leave you with my end of the season shoot with this crew…thank you for all of the smiles and giggles and jokes~xoxo
