this is ben. him and i have a history. we have done this little dance before. i, aimed with my camera, a little toy and my comedic timing, try my hardest to get him to smile for me. ben, with his suspecting character and refusal to comply with my request looks at me with suck pity as my attempts are constantly rebutted. and yet somehow, even with no giggles or smiles he still turns out the best photos. i love his expressions. i love his attitude. i love his, “i don’t give a crap what you want I’m gonna do it my way” persona. he’s epic. he is in fact my mount everest. one day, one day i will catch this kid smiling and cracking up while i have a camera in my hand…..til then….
